Activation Days: testers for a day with Outdoortest’s treks

Two days to experience outdoor activities directly in the field, but not only: all participants of the Activation Days, scheduled for May 16 and 17 in Riva del Garda, will have the opportunity to test the latest product innovations in their natural environment.

With the aim of truly understanding how outdoor equipment performs in the field, the two trekking experiences on Saturday and Sunday will also become a training moment thanks to the presence of Outdoortest, a site specialized in guiding the purchase of sports equipment for outdoor activities, which will accompany participants along the routes with a practical and direct approach to product testing.

During the outings, Outdoortest editors will share practical advice on how to best evaluate equipment, footwear, and technical clothing. Gregory, a leading company in the production of technical backpacks for hiking, trekking, and travel, will provide the opportunity to use their backpacks by testing them in the field. To ensure safety and quality of the experience, there will be the presence of an alpine guide who will accompany the groups along the itineraries, while LYOFOOD will complete the experience with a recovery and taste moment, offering freeze-dried snacks to the participants.

The two routes

  • Saturday, May 16 from 10:30 to 12: with a length of 3.58 km and a positive elevation gain of 130 meters, this is a short but scenic trek that climbs above Riva del Garda along the paths leading to the Bastion. The route alternates between sections in the woods and increasingly wide views of the lake and the town below, offering a unique perspective on Alto Garda. With an elevation gain concentrated in a few kilometers, it is a perfect itinerary for a dynamic activation: an intense but accessible climb, rewarded by one of the most iconic viewpoints in the area
  • Sunday, May 17 from 10:30 to 13: with its length of 7.49 km and 260 meters of positive elevation gain, the itinerary initially crosses the town of Riva del Garda until reaching the entrance of the historic Ponale road. From here, the route gradually ascends along the ancient road carved into the rock, following the scenic path that overlooks Lake Garda and for years has been the main connection between Riva del Garda and the Valle di Ledro. The trek continues along the Ponale road between tunnels, hairpin bends, and viewpoints until reaching the Panoramic Bar Ponale Alto, where the dirt road section of the route ends. From here, you return by retracing the same Ponale road until returning to Riva del Garda.
