Dolomite and AllTrails are the protagonists at the Activation Days with a trekking experience in Riva del Garda

On the occasion of the Activation Days of the European Outdoor Week, Dolomite and AllTrails join forces to create a trekking experience that combines nature, innovation, and performance. On Saturday, May 16th in Riva del Garda, meeting at 11:30 am at the Villaggio Giardini di Porta Orientale, participants will tackle one of the most iconic routes in the area, Belvedere Ponale Alto via Sentiero del Ponale. The excursion will start at 12 pm and return at 2 pm, during which it will be possible to test both the new Vernale Hike GTX by Dolomite and the outdoor platform, a reference point for trail exploration. The event is limited to a maximum of 20 participants, to ensure an immersive and quality experience.

The Dolomite and AllTrails experience

The initiative stems from a shared vision between Dolomite and AllTrails, promoting the outdoors as a lever for well-being, discovery, and connection with the environment. Two entities that, despite different approaches, share fundamental values such as respect for nature, accessibility, and the enhancement of the territory. During the excursion, participants will be accompanied by an experienced guide and will be able to follow the route thanks to the advanced features of the AllTrails app, which offers detailed maps, community reviews, and real-time updates. The moderate-level trail is designed to be suitable for everyone, from beginners to more experienced enthusiasts.

The route between Lake Garda and Sentiero del Ponale

The experience unfolds along the Belvedere Ponale Alto via Sentiero del Ponale, near Riva del Garda, a round trip itinerary of about 7.4 km, with a positive elevation gain of about 710 meters. The trek partially follows a dirt road and partially asphalted sections, following the famous scenic route along Lake Garda, offering spectacular views and points of interest such as Forte Teodosio and the Ponale waterfall. The trail does not present particular technical difficulties and is suitable for hikers with a minimum of training. An itinerary that combines panoramas, history, and nature, perfect for field-testing equipment and technology in an authentic outdoor setting.

Field test for the new Vernale Hike GTX

The experience will also be a test bench for the new Vernale Hike GTX, the trekking model developed by Dolomite for the spring/summer 2026 season. The footwear, available in low and mid versions for men and women, is designed to offer a balance between protection, lightness, and grip, adapting to different types of terrain. A concrete opportunity to test performance and comfort in real conditions, along one of the most suggestive natural settings in the Italian outdoor landscape. In addition to the product test, participants will also be able to use AllTrails, the platform that allows exploring outdoor life through trail maps, community reviews, photos, and real-time weather information. The app provides access to over 500,000 routes worldwide and allows recording activities through GPS tracking, as well as saving favorite itineraries.

How to participate

The event is free and open to a limited number of participants (maximum 20) and it is possible to register online until places are filled. Registration is possible through this link: https://activationdays.orbdays.com/prodotti/dolomite-all-trail
