ORBDAYS and Outdoor: a dedicated tent hall and new options for sleeping en plein air

For professionals operating in the sector, outdoor is more than a business — it is a lifestyle, a mindset that shapes the way mountains and related sports are approached, and a catalyst for turning every occasion into an adventure. Embracing this spirit, the ORBDAYS and Outdoor trade show — taking place during and being the cornerston of the European Outdoor Week (17–19 May 2026) — will introduce an alternative accommodation concept for visitors and dedicate an entire exhibition hall, C3, to camping equipment.

Located on the upper floors of the exhibition centre in Riva del Garda, Hall C3 offers generous floor space and high ceilings, providing optimal visibility for tents, sleeping bags, mats and a wide range of camping accessories. Several leading brands have already confirmed their participation in this focused showcase, underlining the strategic importance of the camping segment within the broader outdoor and running market.

Moreover, in true outdoor spirit, exhibitors and visitors will also have the opportunity to stay overnight at a campsite located just above Arco — internationally recognised as a global climbing hub. Should the initial allocation reach capacity, the organisers are already activating agreements with additional campsites in the area to secure further pitches.

A fully immersive camping experience

For the 2026 edition, participants of the Outdoor and ORBDAYS trade show (May 17-19) will be able to opt for a camping experience in place of traditional hotel accommodation. Throughout the three-day trade show, visitors can sleep in tents provided directly by exhibiting brands — a distinctive opportunity to field-test products of interest in a real-world setting.

The campsite will host approximately 50 tents in the area adjacent to Lake Laghel, just above Arco. Beyond accommodation, a programme of informal events and activations — including barbecues and networking moments — is planned to extend engagement beyond show hours and foster community building in an authentic environment.

With this initiative, the trade show further aligns itself with a genuinely outdoor-centric ethos: not only facilitating business and relationship-building, but delivering a 360-degree brand experience consistent with the passions and lifestyles of its core audience.

The concept is designed to appeal to both Italian and international retailers and visitors, many of whom are already accustomed to camping as part of their leisure culture.

The Laghel camping area

The Prato Vacanze Laghel is located in the hamlet of Laghel, on the Laghel plateau northwest of Arco, at approximately 300 metres above sea level.

The site offers all essential camping facilities, including a communal kitchen with sink, cookware and refrigerator, sanitary facilities with showers, electrical hook-ups, a grill and a designated waste disposal area. A house on site provides an additional kitchen, toilets and a storage area equipped with tools, games, camping accessories and hot water systems.

Outdoor amenities include a shaded terrace next to the woodland, a covered dining area and ample space for recreational activities. The campsite also benefits from direct access to hiking and mountain bike trails, as well as several crags offering both sport and alpine climbing routes across all difficulty levels — from entry-level to highly challenging ascents.
