Road to ORBDAYS: all the routes and trails for the 11th edition
The most awaited Outdoor & Running Business Days are getting closer and will be packed with activities set in the beautiful surroundings of Riva del Garda. Below are the routes for the 2025 edition.
RUNNING
Baltera – A Short run along a pedestrian and cycle path loop around the Riva fairgrounds. A great test with direction changes, a consistent surface, and a few short climbs. Distance: 3.4 km / 2.09 mi
Foci del Varone – A very pleasant 3.5 km gentle downhill run through the historic center of the town, leading to the shores of Lake Garda. A perfect warm-up to regain the lost elevation while enjoying fantastic views of the Valle dei Laghi from the unique perspective of the Varone cycle path. Distance: 6.5 km / 4.02 mi
TRAIL RUNNING & TREKKING

Trail del Bastione – A perfect mix of terrains, gradients, and landscapes. Starting from the fairgrounds, after a short steep paved stretch, the trail heads into the Foci area on a mixed surface (trail and mule track) leading to the magnificent ruins of the Venetian Bastion. A short, fast descent on a paved mule track brings you back to the starting trail. Distance: 7.2 km – 325 D+ / 4.46 mi – 1,066 ft elevation gain
Trail Castello di Tenno – Also starting from the fairgrounds, a small local road leads to the village of Varone. After a few hundred meters, you reach the start of the Gola Trail, climbing steeply towards the village of Tenno along a good track that eventually reveals the old 13th-century mule track. Once at the castle walls, the route circles behind the castle before descending towards the Magnone stream (don’t miss a memorable photo at the Grom benches before the descent). The loop closes near the cemetery, then retraces the outward route back to the fairgrounds. Distance: 6.6 km – 349 m D+ / 4.12 mi – 1,145 elevation gain

Trail del Berghem – Starting from the fairgrounds, a short urban section avoids crossing the main road and leads to the foot of the Albola stream. The easy Foci trail is quickly abandoned to take the ‘Berghem’ trail, climbing towards the Campi area. A metal cable and a few rungs assist in overcoming a rocky step, after which the moderate ascent continues until the trail crosses the stream. From there, the route turns back to complete an out-and-back run with a 280-meter elevation gain. Distance: 5.1 km – 289 D+ / 3.2 mi – 948 ft elevation gain
Ponale Trail – A true must-see in the area, the Ponale is one of the most popular trails in Garda Trentino, nestled between the mountains and Lake Garda. The route alternates between bike and pedestrian paths, with gradients never exceeding 9%, making it an easy trail, yet spectacular thanks to its breathtaking views of the lake. Along the way, you can also spot well-preserved military ruins from the 1800s, including the famous Tagliata del Ponale. Distance: 10.1 km
