Road to ORBDAYS: Elhousine Elazzaoui will be in Riva!
Elhousine Elazzaoui, NNormal athlete and global trail running icon, will attend the Outdoor and Running Business Days in Riva del Garda
The Athlete
Elhousine began running as a child, playing with friends in the desert of southern Morocco—a place he fondly recalls for its climate and its people. He grew up in an area with limited professional opportunities, although he spent a few years working at his brother’s travel agency. He is a certified tour guide in Morocco, and during the winter months he still returns to his homeland to support his brother or lend a hand wherever needed:
“I love spending time with nomad children, just like I was during my own childhood, and I like being there for those who need help when I’m home.”
Elhousine has been a professional trail runner since 2018, the year he turned one of his greatest passions into his everyday life. Since then, his name has echoed on the podiums of major international races, and he is now a proud member of the NNormal team. Over the past few years, trail running has become his way of life—something he deeply values because it has allowed him to explore breathtaking places and meet people who have enriched his journey:
“Being able to dedicate myself to my greatest passion since 2018 has changed my life. Running and meeting the best runners in the world is priceless.” He adds that hearing the crowd cheer for him during a race moves him deeply and makes him feel at home.
In recent seasons, Elhousine has claimed victory in the Golden Trail Series Final, the Dolomyths Run, and the StraLugano 10 Km City Run in 2023. That same year, he finished second at Zegama-Aizkorri, and in 2022 he came just shy of the podium at the Marathon du Mont Blanc. Today, Elhousine lives in Switzerland and continues training hard to compete in the races he has long dreamed of.

At Riva del Garda
As a NNormal athlete, Elhousine Elazzaoui will be a special guest at the eleventh edition of the Outdoor & Running Business Days, taking place on May 25–26 in Riva del Garda. On Monday at 12:00 PM, a short film about his story will be screened, followed by a meet-and-greet session with the ambassador and a light lunch to close the event.
